Tutorial: Bird Zipper coin Pouch
This is a tutorial for a cute little bird pouch with a cute peek-a-boo wing design. This can be use as a coin purse, a dice bag, or makeup pouch. Just download the free pattern below and follow along with the step-by-step instructions.

Supplies Needed:

(all of my patterns include 1/2″ seam allowance)

Step 1

Sew the outer layer to the outer layer lining around the center hole

Step 2


turn the outer layer to the right side through the hole
clip the corners and curves and turn the outer layer to the right side through the hole in the center.

Step 3

press and topstitch
For a neat finish, press and topstitch the fabric around the hole.
Step 4

baste the outer layer to the inner layer
Stack the inner layer and outer layer and baste around the perimeter. The right side of the inner layer will be touching the lining side of the outer layer.

Step 5

sew the beak pieces together

Step 6

turn the beak to the right side
clip the corner and turn the beak to the right side.

Step 7

baste the beak to the bird pouch

Step 8

place the zipper face down on the top and sew

Step 9

place the zipper face down on the second side of the bag and sew

Step 10

sew the two sides of the bag together
with right sides together, sew the bird pouch around the perimeter. The zipper should be open. Once sewn, clip the curves and turn the bag to the right side.
