Tutorial: Easy Halloween Goody Bags
If you want to make some quick and easy little goody bags to hand out at an event or to the other kids in your child’s class, try making these little Halloween goody bags. They are the perfect size for adding a little bit of candy or a cute little toy or prize. What’s better is that I made that pattern so you can use up little scraps of fabric you have left over from other projects. So if you have any Halloween-themed fabric left over, this is the perfect chance to use it. Download the free pattern below to get started.

Supplies Needed:
(all of my patterns include 1/2″ seam allowance)

Step 1

make a Narrow hem on both sides of the casing pieces
Step 2

Line up the bag pieces and sew them together
Line the bag pieces up with: Casing > Upper Bag > Base > Upper bag > Casing
Then sew each of these pieces together with right sides together.

Step 3

Fold the casing in half and sew
Fold the casing to the inside and stitch right along the edge. You can also choose to ditch stitch if you prefer.

Step 4

Fold the bag in half and sew the sides
With right sides together, sew the bag in half and sew up the sides.

Step 5

Turn the bag to the right side
Step 6

Add the string to the casing
You need two pieces of string and they both need to go all the way around, through both casings. One string you’ll insert through the left side, thread it all the way around so it comes back out the left. The other will start on the right side and go all the way around so it comes back out the right.

Finished!
