Tutorial: Easy Phone Pouch
Learn how to make a basic phone pouch to protect your phone from scratches when it’s inside your bag. I use a fleece lining to give the pouch a soft inside that will help keep your phone safe. You can print out the free pattern for this with the button below (or use the picture to measure your own pieces).

Supplies Needed:
(all of my patterns include 1/2″ seam allowance)

Step 1

baste the elastic to the top
Fold the elastic in half and baste it to the top of the pouch
Step 2

sew the button
Sew the button according to the dot on the pattern.

Step 3

sew the lining
with right sides together, sew the pouch and lining. leave a gap so that you can turn it to the right side.

Step 4

turn the pouch to the right side
clip the corners and turn the pouch to the right side.

Step 5

sew up the gap
sew up the gap. I chose to topstitch all the way around the perimeter, but you can hand sew the gap for an invisible finish as well.

Step 6

fold the bottom and topstitch
Fold the bottom 4 inches up and topstitch through all layers along the sides.

Finished!
