Supplies Needed:
(Note: I include links to sewing supplies and notions that I used. However, I always hope that if you have similar leftover supplies from other projects, you will use those before buying new)

all of my patterns include 1/2″ seam allowance
Step 1

baste the the fabric, interfacing, and batting together
Layer the back fabric piece, interfacing, batting, and front fabric egg piece. Then baste around the edges of all of them.

Step 2

hem all the little triangle
fold over the edges of the triangles and baste them so they stay down. Then cut of the excess fabric that hangs over the edges of the triangles.

Step 3

sew the face on the chick
Edge stitch the beak and eyes onto the chick coaster. Then remove the basting stitches from the previous step.

Step 4

Add double fold bias tape to the outside of the chick face
Sew double fold bias tape around the edge of the chick face coaster to cover the raw edges.

Finished!
