Tutorial: How to Make a Simple Braided Rose with Ribbon
This is a very simple tutorial to make a little rose hair clip by braiding some leftover ribbon. The ribbons you use should be approximately the same length, but it’s okay if they are different widths. Whatever you have leftover from other projects will probably work just fine. I used a hand needle and thread to secure the rose together, but you can easily make this a no-sew project by using a couple dabs of hot glue instead.

Supplies Needed:
Step 1

Attach the three ribbons at one end
Sew or glue the ribbons together
Step 2

Braid the ribbons together
Fold the ribbons over each other to create the braid with the ribbons still looking nice and neat.

Step 3

fold the ribbon over the end of the braid
Fold the last ribbon over at the end of the braid to make it look neat. You can sew or glue the ribbon in place.

Step 4

Roll the ribbon braid around itself to create a rose
The longer your braid, the bigger your rose will be.

Step 5

sew or glue the flower in place
I prefer to sew through all the layers at the end, but you can also add a dab of hot glue between each layer as you roll it to keep your flower in the correct shape.

Step 6

Glue the flower to a hair clip

Finished!
