Tutorial: How to Make a Basic Bandana Headband
Bandana headbands are quite cute and easy to make. This bandana uses ribbon to tie in the back, instead of a typical elastic casing. It makes the headband quite simple to make and the size is more adjustable. Download the free pattern below and check out my step-by-step instructions to get started.

Supplies Needed:

(all of my patterns include 1/2″ seam allowance)

Step 1

sew the ribbons to both flat ends of the triangle

Step 2

sew bandana to lining
With right sides together, sew the bandana to the bandana lining. Be sure to leave a small gap in one side so that you can turn it to the right side later.
Step 3

clip corners
Before turning, be sure to clip the fabric close to the corners. This will help you get a nicer point on the bandana triangle.
Step 4

turn to right side

Step 5

press and sew up gap
Press the seam so it’s nice and neat and then hand sew the gap closed.

Finished!
