Supplies Needed:
all of my patterns include 1/2″ seam allowance

Step 1

sew the scrunchie in half
With right sides together, sew the scrunchie in half. Leave a small gap at both ends (see below)

Step 2

Fold the scrunchie in half inside of itself and sew the ends together
Pull the scrunchie inside of itself so you have right-sides together. Sew the ends together, seams should be matching. You should still have that little gap that you left open earlier.

Step 3

Turn the scrunchie to the right-side
Turn the scrunchie right-side-out through the little gap you left, then press the seam
Step 4

insert the elastic through the scrunchie and sew it into a loop

Step 5

sew up the gap in the scrunchie
You can hand sew an invisible stitch or machine stitch along the edge.
Step 6

apply interfacing to the bunny ears
You can use fusible or sew-in, whichever you prefer.
Step 7

fold the ears in half and sew
Be sure to leave a gap in the center so you can turn it

Step 8

turn the ears to the right side
Clip the curves and turn the ears through the gap in the middle.

Step 9

top stitch the bunny ears
This will make the edge neat and close up the little gap in the center.
Now all you have to do is tie the ears around the scrunchie.
Finished!
