Tutorial: How to Make a Fleece Bunny Hat
This tutorial will show you how to make a cute fleece bunny hat using less than 1 yard of remnant fabric. It includes a free pdf pattern that you can downloaded and printed to follow along with the step-by-step instructions. This pattern is sized for an adult head, so if you want to make this for kids, I recommend reducing the size of the pattern first.
Supplies Needed:

(all of my patterns include 1/2″ seam allowance)

Step 1

sew the two sets of bunny ears together
With right sides together, sew the bunny along the perimeter.

Step 2

turn the ears to the right side
Clip the curves and turn the ears to the right side.

Step 3

fold the hat pieces in half and sew the top on the folded side
After sewing, press the seam open.

Step 4

baste the bunny ears to one side of the hat

Step 5

sew the hat front and back
With right sides together, sew the hat with the bunny ears sandwiched between both pieces.

Step 6

fold the band in half and sew the end together
Press the seam open.

Step 7

Fold the band in half lengthwise

Step 8

sew the band to the bottom of the hat
To maintain the stretch of the hat, use a zigzag or stretch stitch.

Finished!
