Tutorial: Easy Christmas Goody Bags
These little fabric scrap goody bags are a great way to use up leftover pieces of material while also handing out more sustainable and reusable goody bags. They are a great size for adding little pieces of candy or small stocking stuffer type of gifts. You can download the free pattern and follow along with the super easy step-by-step instructions.
Supplies Needed:

(all of my patterns include 1/2″ seam allowance)

Step 1

make a Narrow hem on both sides of the casing pieces
Step 2

Fold the casing pieces in half lengthwise

Step 3

Line up the bag pieces and sew them together
Line the bag pieces up with: Casing > Upper Bag > Base > Upper bag > Casing
Then sew each of these pieces together with right sides together.

Step 4

Fold the bag in half and sew the sides
With right sides together, sew the bag in half and sew up the sides.

Step 5

Turn the bag to the right side
Step 6

Add the string to the casing
You need two pieces of string and they both need to go all the way around, through both casings. One string you’ll insert through the left side, thread it all the way around so it comes back out the left. The other will start on the right side and go all the way around so it comes back out the right.

Finished!
