Tutorial: How to Make a No-SEW Handkerchief Purse
This quick tutorial will teach you how to tie a scarf or shawl into a cute, little handbag. No sewing supplies are necessary for this bag. All you need is something to use as a handle!

Supplies Needed:
Step 1
loop corner of fabric over the front and out the side of the handle
With the long side of the scarf facing you, take one corner and loop it around your handle.
Note: if your scarf is extra long you can fold it in half first
Step 2
repeat with the other fabric corner
Step 3
Bring the fabric around the handle and tie a knot
It’s best to tie a double knot for a little added security. If you expect to be carrying anything particularly heavy in the bag, you may also want to use a safety pin to secure the knot.
Step 4
tuck the tail ends into the knot for a neater look
Step 5
Repeat the process for the other handle
Step 6
fluff out the bag and use it!
Use your hands to shake the bag out a bit to give it a cute shape.
