Tutorial: No-Sew Princess Tutu with Tulle
This is a super simple tulle tutu tutorial to teach you how to make a quick tutu for a Halloween costume (or to feel like a princess for the day). You can use the step-by-step instructions to make a tutu for a kid’s costume or an adult; either way, it’s super simple to make. All you need are a lot of strips of tulle or netting material and a scrap of fabric that’s long enough to fit around your waist.
Supplies Needed:
Step 1

Cut big strips of tulle
The exact length and width don’t matter too much. About 4-6 inches wide and fairly uniform length (about twice the length you want your final tutu to be. Cut multiple colors if you want. You’ll want 40-50 strips of tulle to get the full tutu skirt effect.

Step 2

prep the waistband
Find a scrap of fabric that you can tie around your waist. Note the place where it’s tied when it fit’s around your waist, then untie it and know both ends at the point where it fits. This way you won’t add too much length of tulle to the skirt.

Step 3

fold a strip of tulle in half
Step 4

loop the tulle around the belt and knot it in place
Loop the folded end around the belt, and thread the the rest of it through the fold.

Step 5

Repeat for all the rest of your tulle
layer your colors however you want to

Finished!
