Tutorial: Frog Zipper Pencil Pouch
Learn how to make an adorable frog pencil pouch with this quick tutorial. This pouch has a zipper closure and big frog eyes. You can use it for school supplies, makeup, or any little accessories you want.

Supplies Needed:

(all of my patterns include 1/2″ seam allowance)

Step 1


sew the zipper to one band piece
place the zipper face down on one band piece and sew it along the edge. It’s okay if the zipper is a little longer than the band. Then press the zipper away from the band.

Step 2

repeat step 1 for the other band piece
Step 3

sew the frog face to the band
with right sides together, sew the frog face pieces to both sides of the band.

Step 4

sew the pupil to the eye
place the pupil in the center of the eye and stitch it in place. it’s best to use felt for this, or a type of fabric that won’t fray.

Step 5

sew the eye front and back
with right sides together, sew the eyes to the back of the eyes.

Step 6

turn the eyes to the right side
clip the curve and turn the eyes to the right side.
Step 7


baste the eyes to the frog face
baste the eyes face down to one side of the frog face.

Step 8

fold the zipper pouch in half and sew
with right sides together, fold the pouch in half and sew. You can sew through the zipper and cut off the excess tail. Open the zipper before sewing.

Step 9

turn the pouch to the right side
