Tutorial: How to Make a Simple Reversible Scarf
This is a super simple fabric scarf tutorial that’s also reversible. I made the pattern so that all you need is 1/4 yard of your two different fabrics and some basic sewing supplies. So mix and match some cute fleece materials to make your own cozy winter scarf (you can also use other similar materials, like flannel or sweater knits).
Supplies Needed:

Step 1

Sew the two side of the scarf together
With right sides together, sew the scarf and contrast scarf together along the perimeter. Leave a small gap in the center.

Step 2

Clip the corners
Clip the corners close to the stitches without cutting the thread.
Step 3

Turn the scarf to the right-side
Turn the scarf right-side-out through the little gap you left. Then press the seams.
Note: with fleece, you will probably need to use a pressing cloth (or some kind of cotton fabric) between the iron. This will prevent you from accidentally melting the fleece fibers.
Step 4

Top stitch the scarf
Using matching thread (one color as top thread and the other color as the bobbin), top stitch all the way around the perimeter of the scarf about 1/4″ in (this will also close up the gap in the scarf). This will keep the edges crisp over time.
Finished!
