Tutorial: Upcycled Denim Flowers
If you’re short like me and always need to hem your pants, you can use this tutorial to make cute little flowers out of the length you cut off instead of throwing it out. It’s a cute and simple way to use up that little bit of leftover fabric.
Supplies Needed:
Step 1

Cut off loops of denim from a pair of pants

Step 2

make a long zigzag stitch on one edge of the denim loop
Do not tie off the end of the fabric. 1) Sew a long diagonal from the edge of the fabric going about half an inch in. 2) Then make a short stitch back through the fabric. 3) make a long diagonal back to the edge of the fabric. 4) Make another short stitch through the fabric. 5) Repeat until you go all the way around the denim loop.

Step 3

pull the thread to gather the base of the flower and tie it off

Finished!
